Hackney Pub Crawl

As Londoners, many of us will have fond memories of what is a staple of this city's culture, the traditional English pub, of which there are more than 3000 dotted across Greater London. Places to meet and talk, eat and drink, watch sports, celebrate birthdays and host events, they truly are an embedded piece of the capital's make-up. It would be safe to say that pubs have been one of the most missed aspects of pre-pandemic life, while they were closed for business during the past year's lockdowns and restrictions to prevent virus transmission.

While it feels good to once again be able to socialise in and enjoy our great local boozers, Pub Scrawls have just released the chance to enjoy a genuine East End Hackney Pub Crawl from the comfort of your own home! From Lower Clapton to Homerton, Haggerston to Hoxton, De Beauvoir to Dalston and Stoke Newington, Victoria Park to Hackney Central, Hackney Pub Crawl celebrates 26 of the borough's best locals.

Released summer 2021 as limited edition, signed, numbered and stamped, colour or mono prints available in three sizes, this stunning illustrated composition of up to 26 of the most celebrated boozers in the London borough of Hackney couldn’t come at a better time – just as we dream of getting back down to the Chesham Arms, the Pub on the Park, The Adam & Eve or so many other of our favourite, so dearly missed local watering holes.

HACKNEY PUB CRAWL is the brainchild of proud Hackney resident Bruce Fisher, of leading music industry design agency Tour Design, plus illustrator Lilia Mannarini, whose brilliantly unique drawings bring each building to life.

We at base are big fans of this celebration of Hackney's community of pubs, although I wonder if we were asked to pick a favourite whether it would have to be the Cock Tavern as we let the duplex flat on the first and second floor? ;-)

In view of COVID’s effect on the local community, 10% of Pub Scrawls’ Hackney Pub Crawl sales profits will be donated to Hackney Winter Night Shelter, so read the full story on the following link and check out their shop now to make a purchase! https://pubscrawls.com/
