base are extremely proud to announce that at this year’s Sunday Times Letting Agency of the Year Awards, we were shortlisted in the ‘Best Single Office Lettings’ category. This shortlisting comes just a couple of months after we were shortlisted for the ‘Best UK Estate Agent Website’ at last year’s Estate Agency of the Year Awards.

The spectacular awards ceremony took place on Friday, May 24^th, 2013 in the Nine Kings Suite at the Lancaster London Hotel and although we didn't reach the top step of the podium we had an excellent time, meeting fellow letting agents. Watching all the hard work people put into improving the lettings industry is one of the best aspects of our job.

As a fairly small company, we’re honoured to be nominated alongside the likes of eventual winners Sewell & Gardeners. The continued recognition from different industry awards proves us to be one of the finest letting operations in both London and the UK.

2012 was a brilliant year for base and hopefully, 2013 will be even better. This year has already seen us finish third in the Best North London Letting Agents – ESTAS 2013 and with any luck, as we continue to grow we’ll see more awards glisten in our trophy cabinet!

Speaking on the shortlisting and the future of base, our co-founder Kristjan Byfield said:

“I honestly feel that, while a tiny company, we provide one of the most comprehensive and informative lettings services available in the UK today. We value all people equally and look to establish long, if not lifelong, relationships with all that come into contact with base on both a business, social and educational front. Importantly, we are constantly looking to find ways to get even better and to innovate and evolve.

We are in a truly exciting era for our industry and we want to be seen as one of the key innovators and service providers that emerge from it. We’re currently working on three new company products/initiatives launching later this year that we hope will maintain our position amongst the best of our peers and inspire other companies to evolve and improve.”
