baseps are announced in the Shortlist for the Lettings Agency of the Year 2012- North London. In a category of just 9 North London letting agents, last years top three are nowhere to be seen. In fact, only two other agents have made a repeat appearance at last year’s finals- Dwell Residential (North London) and Jacksons Balham (South London).

There is now the nervous wait until the glamorous awards ceremony on Friday 20th April at the Park Lane Hilton. The awards, as has become commonplace, will be hosted and presented by Phil Spencer (best known for his Channel 4 series- location, location, location).

We hold the ESTAs (Estate & Letting Agents Awards) in very high regard for one key reason- they are the only industry awards based exclusively on votes submitted by paying clients. While it is always nice to be held in high regard by your peers and other onlookers, to be validated as one of London’s leading letting agents by those that have paid for our service is enormously rewarding. Clients are required to complete a detailed questionnaire covering everything from the clarity of paperwork to marketing efforts, from communication to customer service. Last year’s report (supplied each year after the awards have taken place) gives us an enormous insight into what we are getting right and where we can still improve. In fact, last year’s report was one of the key reasons we decided it was high time we invested in a new website- and this has already been rewarded with glowing feedback from clients, the industry and website marketing professionals and has seen our website traffic almost double since its launch.
