Meet the team: Introducing Holly!

It's always an exciting time to welcome someone new to the fold. Holly has been recruited into the role of Property Manager, bringing with her previous experience in residential property management and a fantastic attitude and approachable persona. She will be working closely with our Head of Property Management Terence, and between them they will share management of the portfolio.
Below are some questions Holly answered for us so we and you can get to know more about her!
How did you find your first day?
It was a good intro to the company, everyone was lovely. I’m not happy that it took me all day to notice there is an office dog downstairs. I will say there were, at points, questionable music tastes...
What did you do before working at base?
I have been in property management for the last 4 years, mainly in central London but now venturing further towards east.
For the benefit of someone who doesn’t know you yet, how would you describe yourself in three words?
Empathetic, friendly, but competitive.
Casting your mind back to when you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Okay, so depending on the age I went through a range of aspirations: Archaeologist; first female manager of a Premier League football club; then I was all about the music and wanted to own a recording studio.
What is your best/favourite achievement to date?
Favourite, definitely a play I did (about 10 years ago) at the roundhouse - it was all your typical moody teen angst dramatics expressed in turmoil through the arts. It was loosely based on Shakespeare, but it was the start of me getting into writing spoken word which I enjoy.
Who, or what, inspires you?
An underdog story always inspires me, particularly if it's sport based. I also find inspiration in the company I keep - I think I have a decent network of friends and family that hype me up and humble me at the same time.
When you’re feeling drained or burned out, what do you do to re-energise?
I play sports that helps, but if I’m too drained for running around it’s forcing the cat to cuddle me whilst I belt out some music.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Janet Jackson's Together Again
Princess and the Frog
Nutella on crumpets
What’s your poison (favourite drink)?
Jamesons or a Kronenberg – should probably have added that to my guilty pleasures!
How long have you lived in London, and which is your favourite part of the city?
Was born in Kentish Town north London, lived here all my life. Couldn’t name a favourite.
Who in the world (present day or in the past) would you be most interested in swapping places with for a day?
Frank Sinatra popped into my head, so I’ll stick with that.
If you could have any superpower, which would you choose?
I wouldn’t I’d go mad with power, but also maybe teleportation.
How do you like to spend your time when you aren’t working?
Rugby, Pub Quizzes, and gigs. I’m not a long stroll-in-the-park person - I need some excitement!
