This enables us to compete with the best in the UK property industry, both big and small, to see how we fare.

Gold Winner- North London’s Best Letting Agent- ESTAs 2012
20/04/2012- base property specialists won Gold at the Estate & Letting Agent Awards- ESTAS 2012. Recognised as North London’s Best Letting Agent at the prestigious event the team from baseps were awarded their stunning crystal trophy by Phil Spencer.
Co-Founders and Company Directors Kristjan Byfield & An Deckers said: ‘This really is very special! After almost exactly 8 years since we started the company this is a huge achievement and we are really, really proud to have walked away with the top Letting Agent award for North London. A huge thank you to all of our clients who have helped make base what it is today and a special thank you to all of our London Landlords who took the time to vote for us.
The ESTAs is very special to us because it is the 0nly award in our industry that is decided entirely by the votes submitted by paying clients and no one else. To therefore see that this ranks us as the best Letting Agent in North London is amazing. We started base with the aim of giving the best service in the industry and changing people’s perceptions of what estate & letting agents are like and it is great to see that that is exactly what we are doing! We look forward to working with lots of new clients through 2012 and beyond and hopefully winning lots more awards too!’
The ESTAS, the longest running industry awards, were held at the Park Lane Hilton Hotel. The glorious event partnered by property portal Zoopla and was also sponsored by LCA recruitment, Homelet, RICS, endsleigh insurance and expert agent. A huge thank you to the organisers, partners and sponsors of the day- a truly special occasion that will not be forgotten quickly!
April 2012- The ESTAs (Estate & Letting Agent Awards)
21/02/2012- baseps are announced in the Shortlist for the Lettings Agency of the Year 2012- North London. In a category of just 9 North London letting agents, last year’s top three are nowhere to be seen. In fact, only two other agents have made a repeat appearance from last year’s finals- Dwell Residential (North London) and Jacksons Balham (South London).
There is now the nervous wait until the glamorous awards ceremony on Friday 20th April at the Park Lane Hilton. The awards, as has become commonplace, will be hosted and presented by Phil Spencer (best known for his Channel 4 series- location, location, location).
We hold the ESTAs (Estate & Letting Agents Awards) in very high regard for one key reason- they are the only industry awards based exclusively on votes submitted by paying clients. Whilst it is always nice to be held in high regard by your peers and other onlookers, to be validated as one of London’s leading letting agents by those that have paid for our service is enormously rewarding. Clients are required to complete a detailed questionnaire covering everything from clarity of paperwork to marketing efforts, from communication to customer service. Last year’s report (supplied each year after the awards have taken place) gives us enormous insight in to what we are getting right and where we can still improve. In fact, last year’s report was one of the key reasons we decided it was high time we invested in a new website- and this has already been rewarded with glowing feedback from clients, the industry and website marketing professionals and has seen our website traffic almost double since its launch.

Finalist: Best Customer Service
We were honoured to be recognised at the National ‘Landlord & Letting Awards’ 2011 which were held at the Birmingham NEC. With over 1000 entries, although we didn’t walk away with an award this year, we were delighted to be recognised as Finalists in two categories. We were particularly proud to be a Finalist in the Customer Service category which was judged across all industry sectors and was also a Nationwide category. We are sure to return next year and hope for better success next time.

November 2011- The Property Awards for Women
Winner: Monika Szymczak- Best Lettings Negotiator (1-3 Branch Agency)
Finalist: An Deckers- Commitment to Excellence Award
As the name suggests, these are awards exclusively for women working within the property industry. We were delighted that both An and Monika were recognized as Finalists. The event held at Wembley stadium, saw Monika recognized as the top female Lettings Negotiator in the UK at a small company. This was an amazing moment for Monika and an excellent reward for her hard work. It was also a moment of pride for base as Monika was taught and trained by us having started her property career with us in 2007.

The first industry awards we chose to enter was ‘The ESTAs’. The reason for this was simple- these are the only awards in the industry where prizes are awarded based on reviews submitted by paying clients. This was therefore an obvious first choice. We were delighted to be recognised as a ‘London Top 10 Letting Agent’ and were immensely proud that, in the surveys completed by our clients assessing all aspects of our business and service, we averaged an astonishing 95%.
